Does PDF Compare upload my confidential documents to the cloud or remote servers?
No. PDF Compare is architected on a 100% On-Device / Zero-Cloud engine. All document diffing, text extraction, AcroForm filling, and cryptographic signature stamping execute entirely inside your iPhone or iPad local RAM sandbox. Your documents never cross the network.
Why does the App require Camera access?
Camera access (NSCameraUsageDescription) is used solely when you initiate a physical paper document scan via Apple's native VisionKit scanner (VNDocumentCameraViewController). Camera frames are processed directly into PDF pages on your device and are never recorded, transmitted, or uploaded to any external server.
Why does the App require Photo Library access?
Photo Library access (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription) is used strictly through Apple's native system photo picker (PHPickerViewController) when you choose to import a digital stamp, signature graphic, or seal image. The application only accesses the specific images you select.
How do I restore my purchase or subscription on a new device?
In the App Settings, tap "Restore Purchases". All in-app purchases and subscriptions are securely managed by Apple StoreKit 2 and bound to your Apple ID. As long as you are signed into the same Apple ID on your new device, your purchase will restore immediately with zero friction.
Can I use PDF Compare completely offline without an internet connection?
Yes, absolutely. Because all parsing, diffing algorithms, and PDF rendering libraries run natively on your Apple hardware, PDF Compare works 100% offline (including Airplane Mode) with zero network dependency.
How do I delete my documents and clear all local app storage?
You can clear all temporary document caches and comparison diffs anytime by navigating to App Settings > "Clear Local Storage". Additionally, deleting or uninstalling the app permanently purges all local sandbox documents and settings from your device.
